En plein air
Open project since 2017
En plein air is a metaphorical dialogue, an open-air project in which the artist shares what his eyes see and then leaves the artworks to live their own lives. This gesture creates an essential separation from authorship—offering a brief release from the identity of being an artist. The works are left unprotected, fully exposed to the mercy of those who encounter them.
By placing multiples from the same series in different locations, the meaning shifts contextually, reshaped by the environment and the responses it provokes. Crucially, viewers are not denied the chance to physically interact with the pieces. They might be destroyed, left behind, taken, or sold—and that unpredictability is central to the work’s ongoing life.
