IMPREINT has always been of the opinion that art should have a social impact, but that this should be achieved through proposition rather than protestation. With forcefulness often being met with resistance, a more suggestive approach yields greater opportunity for the opening up of conversation and thus the exchange of ideas.

For this reason, interaction with the artwork is encouraged, so that others may become part of its message rather than mere recipients of it. This opening of a dialogue represents what the artist considers to be a most important aspect of art: communication.

At times this interaction is discrete, allowing for the possibility of the artwork to evolve and reach its true potential. Through this candidness, the dynamic between artist and viewer is imbued with a level of honesty that is most important, particularly for genuinely effective and impactful ‘discussions’.
